Are you looking for a unique program for a summer camp that will keep the kids excited about coming back the next day?  I can tailor one week programs to fit into a summer camp’s schedule.  These programs are filled with hands-on activities and memorable demonstrations. Kids leave with stories of the fascinating things they’ve learned and ideas about ways to replicate some of the things they’ve done at home.  The week ends with a mock crime scene where the kids can use everything they’ve learned to solve a mystery.
During the summer of 2012, I did a one week program for the summer camp at the Marcus Jewish Community Center in Atlanta, GA.  After receiving rave reviews, they asked me to come back for another week in 2013.  I put a lot of work in to make sure that every kid who comes to my programs feels engaged and has a great time while learning about forensic science.
I can arrange for a program of a length that will fit into any summer program.  If you would like to discuss options for setting up one of my programs during a summer camp, please e-mail me at crimescenecamps@yahoo.com.
The great thing about forensic science is that it borrows from all physical, natural, and social sciences.  Due to this unique breadth of content, it is a natural fit in many types of summer camps, from general camps that offer a lot of different areas of interest to specialized camps, such as nature camps.  I can do sessions on forensic geology, forensic botany, forensic entomology, and forensic palynology, as well as sessions that focus on the unique elements of outdoor crime scenes.
