May 7, 2016: I have compiled a list of possible final project ideas. This list
is just to give you ideas. If you have an idea of something that is not on the list,
please e-mail me and we will work on working the idea into a project. You can do
these projects in any way that you think will help you share them with others. For
instance, students have done papers and given an oral presentation, made a PowerPoint
presentation, done posters or tri-folds, created series of maps, and so on. I will
be happy to discuss the ways you can do the specific project you choose.
Law:– Trial Practice. The assignment for this will go up Tuesday.
I have created a list of possible final project ideas for this class, but you have
the freedom to come up with a topic on any area of law. You can do the project in
any form, as long as it allows you to share what you’ve done with the class.
The calendar below only relates to the Yacon Geography and Law classes.
Orange = Independent work periods
Yellow = Prep days for online sessions
Green = Possible dates for online sessions
Bright pink/fuchsia = Dates for in person classes (note that March 25 is Good Friday,
so I will defer to the wishes of the families involved in terms of that date. We
can switch it to another day, but we will have to find a time that works for everyone.
I have May 27 listed as a possible date for sharing our final projects, but that
is right before Memorial Day, so that could be an issue. I will talk with everyone
at the March 4 session about this.
